What is Rendezvous?
Rendezvous is Colorado Trout Unlimited’s annual meeting and conference held for chapter leaders and members Friday, April 20th thru Sunday, April 22nd at the Redstone Inn in picturesque Redstone, Colorado. The purpose of Rendezvous is to provide new and existing chapter leaders with the organizing tools they need to run effective chapters and serve as grassroots river conservation advocates within their local communities.
Workshops and panel discussions are scheduled throughout the three-day weekend and typically cover one or more of the following issue areas:
- Conservation opportunities and threats to Colorado’s rivers and fisheries;
- recruiting, engaging, and retaining members;
- leadership succession;
- using electronic and social media to communicate and organize;
- creative local fundraising techniques; and
- planning and executing successful river restoration projects.
In addition, there are several special events including a ‘Best Wild Places’ presentation and reception with Field and Stream’s Editor-at-large Kirk Deeter and the Colorado TU annual awards banquet on the evening of Saturday, April 20th.

How do I register?
Registration is available online and begins on Wednesday, February 15th and closes at 5:00pm on Thursday, April 12th. You can register for Rendezvous by clicking here.
Registration for the full weekend costs $140 per person. Your registration fee includes:
- Friday lunch; Saturday breakfast and lunch; Sunday breakfast;
- Saturday evening awards banquet and presentation by Kirk Deeter;
- and workshops throughout the entire weekend.
Registration does not include lodging. You are responsible for booking and paying for your own accommodations during the weekend (see below for lodging options).
First time attending?
This year, rather than holding a separate New Leaders Workshop during Rendezvous, content and information relevant to new leaders will be integrated into workshops. Additionally, a New Leaders Workshop will be held during the Fall 2012 Colorado TU Board meeting.
If this is your first time attending Rendezvous as a chapter leader, you may waive the registration fee. To wave registration as a new attendee, select the appropriate option on the registration page.
Can my spouse/partner attend?
Yes, spouses and partners are allowed and encouraged to attend. If your spouse or partner would like to attend all Rendezvous workshops and events, he or she will need to pay the full registration cost. If he or she will only attend specific events and meals, you may purchase additional tickets for those meals and events. You can purchase these individual tickets on the event registration page. See the agenda for a list of meals provided at the Redstone Inn. The costs are as follows:
Breakfast ticket: $15 each
Saturday awards banquet ticket: $50 each (includes dinner, cash bar)
